AI Assistant: Summarize Coded Content

Using the AI Assistant: Summarize Coded Content option, you can use AI Assistant to automatically generate AI summaries from the coded content in the selected matrix cell(s).

1. Open the required framework matrix.

2. Select a row, column, or cell that you would like to generate summary for.

3. Right-click and select AI Assistant: Summarize Coded Content from the context menu.

   

4. If the Artificial Intelligence Terms of Use dialog is displayed, follow the steps below:

   1. Click the AI Terms of Use link in the dialog.

      Lumivero Artificial Intelligence Terms of Use page is displayed for you to read.

   2. Return to NVivo, check the confirmation check box.

   3. Click OK.

5. Select the preferred Summary Language, Summary Length, and click Generate.

   

6. Select each source item and review the corresponding summary in the AI Summarization section.

   When the first item's summary is displayed, its status will change to Generated. Review the provided summary and click Add Summary to accept the AI summary. You can also click the Generate button again to have AI re-generate a summary. Alternatively, you can click Skip to progress and highlight the next item. The status for each item will change to Complete or Skipped as you choose.

   

7. Click OK when all items have been reviewed.

   The AI generated summaries are populated in the corresponding cells with "AI" prefix.
