Print project items
NVivo for Mac does not support printing for all types of project items, however you can export a range of items to a file which you can then print—for more information see Export files or memos.
What you can print
You can print the following project items:
- Files (including documents, PDFs, Externals and memos)
- Nodes
- Cases
- Maps
- Charts and diagrams
You can also print lists displayed in List View or Detail View, for example:
- A list of files in List View
- The members of a set displayed in List View
- Query results displayed in Detail View
Print a project item
- Click on the item in Detail View or List View.
- Choose File > Print.
Keyboard Shortcut To display the Print Options dialog box, press ⌘+P. - Select the required print options.
- (Optional) Click Detailed Preview to view a representation of your data and the number of pages in your printed output.
- Click OK.
NOTE
When you print a file, node or case from Detail View and:
- coding stripes are displayed, you can choose to print the coding stripes.
- highlighting is turned on, you can choose to print the highlighting.
Print a node, case or file showing highlighting or coding stripes
- Open the item in Detail View.
- Display coding stripes and turn on highlighting.
- Choose File > Print.

- Click OK.
Print a list
- Click in the list you want to print, either in List View or in Detail View.
- Choose File > Print List.
